Alert! > HATE CRIMES BILL ON FAST TRACKCOULD BE VOTED ON THE HOUSE FLOOR AS EARLY AS MAY 1ST.We must all ACT NOW if we are to prevent our liberties of religion, conscience and speech from being replaced with aberrant ***ual “rights.” Yes, that is right, in a court of law cross-dressers rights would trump a pastor’s right to preach the Bible, if the so-called Hate Crimes bill, HR 1592, passes. The so-called Hate Crimes (Thought Crimes) bill is very dangerous to your rights and could pass out of the full House Judiciary Committee today (Wednesday). It passed out of the Sub-Committee on Crime yesterday (Tuesday) with just a voice vote. Andrea Lafferty and I will be at the Judiciary Committee hearing today, Wednesday, continuing to talk with Judiciary Committee members and staff. There have been times when we have changed a vote at the last minute. Congressional staff have credited Traditional Values Coalition with leading the charge on this very dangerous issue. The Hate Crimes bill, HR 1592, adds “***ual orientation” and “gender identity” “perceived or actual” for special federal protection under the Commerce Clause. It will be used to establish a legal foundation and framework that will eventually be used to investigate, persecute and prosecute YOU, pastors, business owners and anyone whose actions are based upon the truths found in the Bible concerning homo***uality. ***ual orientation includes homo***uals, bi***uals and hetero***uals. Gender identity is the code word for cross-dressers, drag queens, she-males, trans***uals, etc. who would be given special protection so that they have more rights than you do. We have incurred many numerous added expenses plus costs for 2 extra staff in addition to our wonderful staff who have been working from early morning to late at night, even over weekends, writing position papers, contacting Congressmen and their staff, meeting and conferring with lawyers about the effects of this bill, writing arguments, and MUCH more. We have been inundated with press calls. Your support is urgently needed. With the Democrat controlled Congress, the homo***uals are bringing up all the bills they have want passed. Today they introduced ENDA in the House, which is a homo***ual quota. ENDA will make it a federal offense to “discriminate” against any individual because of actual or perceived ***ual orientation. The bill will cover any employer who is engaged in interstate commerce and who has 15 or more employees. You want a laugh….HR 1592 indicates that hordes of homo***uals are being forced to flee their home states because they are routinely denied access to goods, services and employment. This explains the mystery of the crowded highways and airports in San Francisco and New York – homo***ual flight? The reasons for the bill are completely unsupported. This legislation is an attempt by the ultra liberals and the homo***uals to force Americans to accept homo***uality and gender disturbance as equal to God’s Created Order of hetero***uality. The bill is completely unnecessary. States already have the resources to deal with crimes of bodily harm or assault, etc. There are no cases of bodily injury that the states have not been able to investigate and prosecute. But this bill could be an open-ended pot of gold for local law enforcement. It will take away much needed money from the Justice Department’s requirement to deal with terrorism, which is the Federal Government’s responsibility.
